The history of the Autohaus – Stuttgart garage starts in 1967, when Michalis Goularas and Savvas Charpantidis decide to establish their own garage. They both had excellent technical knowledge and several years of experience in Mercedes – Benz passenger vehicles. Both had worked in Germany and at VIAMAX – the general dealership at the time of Mercedes in Greece.

So they establish the Autohaus – Stuttgart garage at the junction of Peireos St. and Amorgou St. (known as ‘ELAIS’ bus stop) at Kaminia, Peireus. .

The garage included electrical and panel-beating workshops. It was the first Mercedes-Benz garage in Peireus.

1978 Workshop at 93 Peireos St.

In 1973 the garage moved next door, at 93, Peireos St. It is more spacious so a paint workshop is added. Thus a vertical unit is created, so that clients have access to all necessary services for vehicle repair.

The identity of the garage though remains unchanged. It continues to service and repair exclusively Mercedes-Benz vehicles. By now it has become widely known for its technical knowledge and high quality service. As a result, it attracts many customers, including shipping magnates from Peireus, artists, politicians and others, famous or not.

Many owners of commercial vehicles, both from mainland Greece and the islands, become Autohaus-Stuttgart customers for servicing and repairing their vehicles.

The Autohaus-Stuttgart garage remains at the same address till December 2009. Then the garage moves into new premises at 4, Amorgou St. in response to the new financial situation and the current economic climate.

In February 2012, after forty-five years of continuous service to his customers, Michalis Goularas hands over the leadership of the garage to his son Giorgo. Giorgos Goularas’ involvement with vehicles begins in his childhood, when he was helping his dad at the garage. Later he studies and works in Germany for nine years. Then he works in Greece for twelve years at the Mercedes-Benz Promot Lainopoulos and at the official dealership Mercedes-Benz Hellas. From there he attends regularly for training at Stuttgart. The continuous development covers new vehicle models and new technologies.

In taking over the management of the garage, he continues to offer quality services at the most competitive prices, whilst maintaining the exclusive specialising in Mercedes-Benz and smart vehicles. All necessary technical knowledge and required equipment are at his disposal. The renewed team at the Autohaus-Stuttgart garage has the necessary know-how and experience so as to respond to the demands of the new models and modern technology.
